Poettcker’s Prayer Partners

February 26, 2024 by RCM

[This is Rev. Rudy Poettcker,
missionary with Reformation Christian Ministries (RCM), giving you a brief update.]

Greetings in the name of our ruling Lord Jesus!

It was so encouraging (this past Lord’s Day in worship) to be assured that our Lord is ruling and is gathering and preserving His Church against the fury of the whole world (Belgic Conf. art.27). We have been seeing that in Acts, and may we all see and know it is true also today.

I would sincerely ask you to pray for many at CLA in Suriname. So many teachers and staff have been sick and just unable to even be at school in some cases. Some were in their classes for a short while and then had to go home. It has been challenging to “cover” the various classes. This morning several are still fighting against sickness and some are not able to be in school. So please pray for restoration to health and God’s blessing at CLA.

Give thanks for the ongoing progress in the construction. If all goes well the Hamids should be able to move in by the end of March.

Please also continue to pray for the Otis’ (Good News Bible Study for RCM). Mrs. is struggling with severe illness. PTL for the comfort they have that this is in the hands of our Lord and He also uses this for the good of those He calls. Pray for God’s perfect will to be done.

In service to our common Lord,

Rev. RP

Poettcker’s Prayer Partners

Greetings dear prayer partners!

Be assured that your prayerful partnership is so much needed and appreciated.

This past week we had an incident at CLA (school in Suriname) which resulted in expelling a student. I won’t go into details, but this is always a difficult matter, and I mention it to ask you to keep Rev. Hamid (as Administrator) in prayer. It is one thing for us to work out “administration matters” via email (and sometimes even via video call), but it is another thing to work through difficult matters that take place from day to day. I PTL for the wisdom He gives to Rev. Hamid and, again, that is given through the prayers of God’s people. So, thank you for your prayer and PTL that CLA has now completed the 6th week of the Third Quarter!

Thank you also for ongoing prayer for the Church there (FPC), and also for the students studying in the College and Seminary programs.

Praise the Lord, for He is good, His mercy endures forever,

Rev. RP

Poettcker’s Prayer Partners

Greetings in the name of our sovereign God and Father!

I am so thankful to report that, by God’s merciful healing, I have almost fully recovered from that “cold” I had last week. This past Lord’s Day I preached from Acts 18:9,10, and how the Lord encouraged the apostle in the midst of the challenges of life. Well, we all have various challenges, and may we truly see how dependent we are on the Lord and that He also encourages us by His Word and Spirit. May you all know His gracious blessing and encouragement in all of life.

The school in Suriname (CLA) has just completed the 5th week and today begins the 6th week of the Third Quarter. Let us truly PTL for how He continues to bless CLA and use the school for His glory and kingdom. PTL also that construction is going along well.

Please continue to pray for the Church there as well (FPC). As Elders, we are prayerfully waiting on the Lord to work through the discipline of the Church in various members. Our hearts are heavy but the Lord gives strength. Pray for the Lord’s encouragement to Rev. Hamid as Pastor and pray for all the members to grow in grace and in communion of saints.

In His service, with you all,

Rev. RP

Poettcker’s Prayer Partners

Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus!

I trust you all had a blessed Lord’s Day worship yesterday.

I was thankful that I was able to preach since I had a rather strange “cold” last week that left me without energy. It was very challenging to even get the basics of my work done during the week. I am thankful I am a bit better and hope recover more fully this week.

CLA in Suriname has now completed the 4th week of the Third Quarter. We are thankful that the Lord has provided a lady to do babysitting, and we pray that this works out well for the mothers. Please continue to pray for the school and for all who work there. They need encouragement to continue on.

Please pray for the students in the College and Seminary and my work online with them. Some work more regularly than others, but that is the blessing of our “system” (each works according to their situation). It is a blessing to be training for kingdom service.

Truly thankful for your partnership in prayer,

Rev. RP

Construction progress (things are moving along, PTL).
