Russian UERC Reports -- July 26, 2007
On July 26th of this year, the city of Tver held extraordinary Synod of the Evangelical-Reformed Churches Union of Russia. In the work of the Synod participated the delegates of ER Churches of the cities Kazan, Saint-Petersburg and Tver, and Tver Calvinism Study Center.
The Synod introduced the necessary changes in the Union’s Registration Regulations, elected Union’s chairman, the members of consistory, executive director and governing divisions.
The Synod also examined statements of three Reformed churches (ministers Valerian Ten , Mikhail Sekushin and Мaksim Fokin ) about admitting them into the Union.
Eugene Kashirsky was elected as the chairman of the Union ERCR, Alexander Isaev as executive director;
Alexander Isaev, Eugene Kashirsky, Valery Kevorkiantz, Serguei Malyshev, Yaroslav Ovchinnikov, Mikhail Poluboyarinov were elected as the members of consistory;
For the service of the manager divisions were elected:
Christian formation – Valery Kevorkiantz (together with the service of the administrator responsible for the Union’s site ),
Curator – Eugene Kashirsky ,
Churches relations and information - Mikhail Poluboyarinov ,
Editorial and publishing – Guennady Travnikov ,
Missionary – Mikhail Malakhov ,
Administrative and operational – Alexander Isaev.

In the relation to ERC of city Omsk, the Synod confirmed the decision of VIII Synod on the exclusion of this community from the Union as the community which did not meet the requirements of the Union’s standards.
