Greetings, this one more time from Suriname!
It is such a blessing to have this calling here in Suriname in this part of God’s Kingdom. As I have been here I have so much treasured the prayers of God’s people. Please also pray for my safe travels. I leave, Lord willing, this Tuesday (leaving very early in the AM). Please also pray for Sharilyn’s safe travels as she will be travelling on Wednesday from Panama (was there to visit family).
We experienced a great blessing here in the Church as two young people made profession of faith and became communicant members of FPC. Please keep much in prayer for all members, and that the Lord in mercy and love would bind them close together in a common fellowship in the Spirit, and this might be a strength to each one in their daily living. I have more and more seen (from God’s Word and from experience) that the communion of saints is one way that believers receive the power of the Spirit to be faithful in their lives.
Obviously we have now concluded the First Semester at CLA and are so thankful for the Lord’s continued blessing. Pray for the teachers and staff to have a good “break” and be kind-of “recharged” to begin the Second Semester (Lord willing classes resume Jan.8).
Just a little note of praise to the Lord for how He uses CLA: A lady, who is grandmother to a former student who now has two children in Elementary, said to Rev. Hamid, “Sir, this school will always have a special place in my heart, my grandson is the man he is today because of the influence of CLA.”
May all be for the greater glory of the Lord our God!
