Toilet area cabinets. In Suriname, it is traditional for the bathroom and toilet areas to be separate and this arrangement was continued in the new building.

INSTALLATION OF TRANSFORMER: FULL POWER FOR THE SCHOOL IS FINALLY IN SIGHT AFTER TWO YEARS

In order to get power to the school, we had to pay for a special transformer which actually served the whole area.

It was order approximately eight months earlier, requiring around US$10,000 up front cash.

After pulling out all stops to get them to actually deliver it.

On May 13, 2005, it was actually delivered. It would be a number of months before it would be effectively installed, but the school had full power in time for the opening of the 2005 school year in August.

During the summer months of 2005, while Rev. Poettcker was gone, work continued on the school as well as Rev. Hamid's house, which was expanded to adjust to his growing family and need for an office. Arrival of the full electrical services were finally completed in time for the opening of school in August, 2005.
