Dr. Michael W. Kelley
B.A., M.A., M.Div., Ph.D.,
RIC Advisory Board Member and Doctoral Committee
Dr.
Kelley was born and raised in Montana, but has lived for the past twenty-eight
years in Minnesota. He attended college in Southern California at what today is
called
Biola University, and
earned a B.A.
degree in Humanities-Philosophy in 1974. After college he earned
an M.Div. degree from
Westminster
Seminary, Philadelphia, 1977. In 1978 he was awarded an M.A. in Philosophy
from
Villanova University
and in 1983 completed a Ph.D. in Philosophy from
Duquesne University.
For the past two decades he has taught courses in Biblical Theology in small
house-church type of settings. He is married to Kaylene and has two grown
children: Ben, who lives in Boston, and Gretchen who lives in St. Paul,
Minnesota.
He has written three books:
On Stone or Sand: The Ethics of Christianity, Capitalism, and
Socialism
The Burden of God: Studies in Wisdom and Civilization from the
book of Ecclesiastes
The Impulse of Power: Formative Ideals of Western Civilization
He has also written several articles and book reviews which can be found in
